As the planet stops turning
We find ourselves abruptly cast from the orbit
Of a truth that can no longer bind us,
to itself.
In desperation
We try to crash back
into a world beyond our trajectory
Below our ascension
Our pulse could animate this dead space
If only we knew
How alive we truly are
