Mercury

I watch her weave weird alchemy
Lead to flesh
I check my pulse at the door
And lock it in her chest

It’s 356.73 °C in the shade of her lab coat.
I watch quicksilver bead and run down her collarbone

Her vermilion lips
she flies so close to the sun

I unfold to eclipse
I don’t care
If I burn
